Our pricing is all inclusive, which includes a great selection of fabrics for your one-of-a-kind quilt, all materials, custom professional machine quilting, tons of extra features to commemorate your t-shirt quilt. You can choose from our in-house inventory of over 300 bolts of fabrics. We have basic tone-on-tone colors as well as a variety of trendy, modern and novelty prints. Click here for a quick view of some of the fabrics on our shelves. We also offer at no additional charge - an outer border. The outer border gives a finished look to the quilt.
ALL of our T-Shirt Quilts include sashing and cornerstones*** and are $16 per square. A square is the front or back of a t-shirt. We can also use a combination of
smaller logos, photos, ties, hats or almost any fabric item you can
think of for a minimal charge. We provide the backing and a high quality
batting and then FULLY QUILT it together with your t-shirts on the
front.
We create only the highest quality quilts; therefore we do not recommend creating a quilt without the sashing fabric that separates the t-shirt blocks. The sashing fabric provides more stability to your quilt and is more aesthetically pleasing. If you prefer a quilt without the sashing fabric, please contact us to discuss this option. Cornerstones CAN be the same color as the sashing for a totally differnt look.

Each square finishes at approximately 14". You can specify a different size to make the quilt fit your specifications. Smaller sized t-shirts will result in smaller sized squares.
The base price per T-shirt block is $16. There is an extra $5.00 charge per block for 'simple' additional seams. A 'Simple seam' is one additional seam in the block. These include:
- combining of 2 shirts (or a front and back) to make one block
- combining small logos from different T-shirts to make one block
- enlarging a tanktop into a larger block
- adding fabric behind v-neck (such as a Jersey)
Complex piecing. When more than one seam is involved, or creating a block out of odd shaped items, require more time to piece the block.
Minimum of $10 additional charge on these. These can include but are not limited to:
- cheerleading V-front tops (these are usually pretty labor intensive to work with and usually run around $25 additional charge.)
- shorts
- hats
- sleeves
Shipping will be via USPS Priority mail and will be $20 per T-shirt quilt.
UPS shipping is available for an additional charge.
Sales tax is charged for quilts going to Texas addresses.
A $100 down payment is required and can be made by check*, money order or online through PayPal.
When your T-shirt quilt is complete, I will send an email requesting the final balance including the $20 shipping** charge. If you pay by check, allow up to 10 days for the check to clear before I ship your T-shirt quilt. If you use Paypal, I will ship your quilt as soon as I receive the Paypal payment notice.
* Checks should be payable to "Betty Baker" or "Shadywood Quilts".
***Sashing is a colored strip of 100% cotton fabric between
each square. It typically matches the backing color you select. We include sashing and cornerstones at no additional charge. Cornerstones are squares of fabric that are pieced within the sashing and fit in at the corners of the blocks. (see the bright green square in the photo at left). Click on photo to see details.
Optional Features
Additional Borders. An optional 3rd highlight border can be added for $20.00. (see the bright green border in the photo above).
Hanging Sleeve. Don’t hide your quilts away! Let them decorate your space and whisper their stories to visiting family and friends. Add an unobtrusive hanging sleeve to the back of your quilt (even if you just plan to use it as a throw for now) to ensure your quilt is ready to be hung for display when and where you want it. Usually made from the same fabric as the backing. Price $15.00
Custom Label. Have a personalized label attached to the back of your quilt with names, dates, sentiments, poems, song lyrics, your quilt’s name or even a picture to let document this special quilt. Black & White $10.00, Color $15.00.

We pride ourselves on quick, professional service. Our average turn time is 4 weeks. If you want to guarantee delivery in less than 4 weeks, please add a $50 rush fee per quilt, plus you may need to pay for overnight shipping. Our 'busiest' times are prior to graduation and the Christmas holidays so it might take a little longer.
