I go to festivals and quilt shows, so to keep the memories alive I will have a wall hanging made of all the t-shirts I acquired at these events.
How about your son or daughters football, volleyball, baseball or basketball team t-shirts with the team picture in the middle.
Wedding, wedding shower or baby shower. Pictures can be printed and added around a wedding invitation or baby announcement.
Is your husband (son or friend) a firefighter or policeman? Maybe in the military? Lots of directions you can go with this as a theme.
When I worked as a programmer, I accumulated a lot t-shirts from annual picnics, vendor shows, and other events.
Vacations and travel. Put all of your Florida, Cancun, or Hard Rock t-shirts you've collected into a very special quilt.
Little League t-shirts along with pictures from games and team pictures to make a great keepsake quilt for a boy's bedroom. Appliqué the pennant to the front or the back.
A quilt made of Family Reunion t-shirts would make a great family heirloom to pass down through the generations. Add some photos printed on fabric of the family for more interest.
Pick a hobby like gardening. Take a picture of the garden and surround it with t-shirts that have flower designs on them. You can pick-up great shirts at your local Goodwill or consignment shop. Or, print flowers on to photo fabric if you can't find t-shirts.
When your child goes off to college give them some memories in a quilt. All their high-school t-shirts and sweatshirts from sports, band or other activities. Add in some candid shots or their school pictures and you have a quilt full of childhood memories.
